Eric Gally

President

Eric Gally

Eric Gally has lobbied in Maryland since 1992 and founded Gally Public Affairs in 1997. Over the years he has developed strong working relationships with policy makers around the state based on trust, hard work, mutual respect and a lot of campaign work.

Along the way he has passed a significant amount of legislation – including ground-breaking work in public health, the environment and child advocacy. Some of those measures include the Clean Indoor Act of 2007 that eliminated smoking in all Maryland bars and restaurants — and measures that lowered the state’s per se drunk driving standard from .1 BAC to .08, reduced gun violence with a trigger lock requirement and cleaned up the Chesapeake Bay by creating steady yearly funding for major cleanup projects — just to name a few. He also worked on the Thornton and Kirwan Commission initiatives that dramatically improved our state’s public education system.

He has also paved the way for business clients to conduct their work in Maryland by helping secure funding, revising burdensome regulations and obtain new locations.

Before coming to Maryland, Gally worked for the Speaker’s Office in the New York State Assembly and prior to that was a reporter and editor with The Daily Journal in Elizabeth, NJ.
